Things are going well this season for the Crystal Ball...including forecasting another upset correctly last week (Miami crushing the Jets). We are now 6-2 in upsets this year...not too shabby at all! Let's keep it up in week 9...
Game of the Week: Pittsburgh at NY Giants -- The Steelers playing much better football of late...even in 'Bumble Bee' Uniforms. The Giants slipped by the Cowboys last week and are currently in control of the NFC East. The Giants usually play better on the road, but I think they play well this week & get it done...giving the New York fans some much needed joy after all of the horrors related to Hurricane Sandy. This one is close, but the G-men prevail. NY Giants 23 Pittsburgh 20. YTD Record -- 5-3.
Lock of the Week: Buffalo at Houston -- Two teams coming off a bye. Buffalo's Defense has had its struggles this year...and I don't think it will get any better at Houston today. The Texans look to be the best team in the AFC right now...and I think they will have an easy time of it at home today. Houston 31 Buffalo 17 YTD Record -- 6-2.
Upset of the Week: Miami at Indy -- Miami is about a 3-point favorite here & they have played some great football since Week 1. However, I think this is a tough spot for them coming off an emotional road win over their AFC East rival Jets. The Colts have also been a surprising team this year...and are coming off an important win over Tennessee last week. Andrew Luck already plays like a seasoned QB. Tannehill is questionable. I think the Colts pull out a close one at home. Indianapolis 20 Miami 17 YTD Record -- 6-2.
Fantasy Stud of the Week: Arian Foster
Fantasy Dud of the Week: Adrian Peterson (banged up with a tough road game at Seattle)
Fantasy Sleeper of the Week: Jeremy Maclin/DeSean Jackson -- going up against an awful Saints' D.
Enjoy the games everyone!

Nice write up. I think you picked a tough upset as that could go either way. I think Miami wins in that one though, but the Colts are getting better each week.
ReplyDeleteUpset picks continue to be on FIRE! Indy by a FG just as forecast. 7-2 in upsets! :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. -- Andrew Luck is going to be a decent QB. I can't believe one franchise got so LUCKy in getting the #1 pick in that draft after getting the #1 pick with Peyton Manning years ago. I wish the Jets could be so lucky...lol.
